Barka Marina Fish Market:
Barka Marina fish market air conditioning and ventilation system were one of
the challenges we were facing during the project design stage as we had to
maintain a clean and healthy environment inside the fish market, and eliminate the bad smell generated by extracting saturated air from the fish market that would have spoiled the nearby area.
Therefore, the decision was taken to use total fresh air handling units that have a high-efficiency filter in the supply and extract side of the market to achieve these goals. Additionally to ensure minimum cooling capacity and power consumption we used a heat recovery wheel.
It is worth mentioning, the supply air was properly distributed by using fabric duct which is anti-bacterial, non-flammable & easy to wash, and re-install.
